Don Lael has always been an avid fisherman. When his four children were young, vacations were always where the fish were biting! His children, Lynda, Alice, Scott and Angela never complained that the vacations rarely consisted of theme parks and roller coaster rides, fishing was part of their life from the beginning. Don was always patient and taught each one of the kids the how to and how not to of fishing and eventually boating. Don, still an avid fisherman, probably had just about enough of the endless “fetching and fixing” of the fishing poles for the past 40+ years that it is not surprising that he came up with an idea to make fishing easier for everyone. In 1992, while fishing with his wife, he was as before, getting her hooks, split shot, and rigging her line. After a day of this, and memories of fishing with the kids, he decided to invent something that would carry hooks, leads, split shot and also could remove hooks, strip line and cut. No more would he hear, “Don...or “Dad...or now...”Grandpa.... He wanted to fish. Oh, he enjoyed teaching everyone how to catch the big one. Now, he had more as he says, “quiet time.” He had made up his mind that he would somehow make fishing easier (and less aggravating). Hence came the first: LAELS’ P L I -ERS! E v e r y - thing that you n e e d . . . E V E R Y -THING! With these pliers, all you have to do is fill the handles with extra hooks, split shot, beads, leads, or just about anything that you are going to need for your fishing experience! Great for crappie fishing, as well as wading! Load up your pliers and go. Don was so pleased with the prototype that he got a patent and went to work on getting his pliers out to the public. It has been hard work and determination, but at last the first shipment arrived in July of 2005! What a concept. Once you see the pliers and hold them in your hand you will see how lightweight and convenient they are to use. Remember....HANDLE YOUR TACKLE!!! With Laels Fishing Pliers, order now.....
